April Cara Box: Go Green

I love getting packages every month from ladies around the country. It so supremely awesome, and I love meeting new people!

This month, the theme was "go green." Now, I have to admit that I was a little hesitant about getting involved with this theme because I wasn't sure how to give "green" gifts, but I had so much fun putting my box together. I even got to be a little crafty!

I sent my box to Shannon @ Shenanigans Rose. The pairing was perfect because Shannon's birthday is on Earth Day! I made sure to spoil her for her 21st birthday!!!
I received my box from Kristyn @ Chits & Giggles. She is such a sweetie, and I loved getting to know her! Kristyn, I hope your momma is doing better now.

Okay, before I get into the details of my box, I just want to stop and say that I love the blog title designs of these two ladies. I mean, hello, gorgeous! I wish my blog looked as good as theirs.

Anyway, on to what Kristyn sent me!!

{these cute notebooks that bring a smile to my face whenever I look at them}

{post it notes because every teacher needs them}

{absolutely adorable note cards}

{best looking/cutest notebook; now I have to figure out a good reason to use it}

{this card gave me a good laugh because I have this fear, especially at school}

{to plant} =]

{catnip mice for my kitty}

Kristyn did a great job putting my box together for this month! I love it. I can't wait to use all my paper goods! Thank you, Kristyn!!!

My Beach Trip

This year, my birthday fell on Easter, if you didn't notice from the post I made. =]

{here we are on my birthday @ my grandparents' house}
{here I am with my niece}

For my birthday, I spent some time with my family and then headed out of town to the beach! Before we made it to the beach though, we stopped in Charlotte, NC to visit with friends.

{in the car, starting our road trip}

{birthday gifts from my carolina gals. they know me so well!}

{we stopped and got popcorn the next day}

{then, we were on the road again & finally arrived}

This was about the best day there. The remainder of the days were beautiful but windy. It was not comfortable to be outside in a swimsuit. =[ Here are a few pictures from our trip.

{first sunrise from our balcony}

{bilo at the beach}

{my first ever jellyfish sighting!}

{dinner decor the I drew}

I was sad that it wasn't great weather while were there, but we had so much fun!
I can't wait until the next time we're at the beach!!

p.s. Happy Earth Day, folks.

W.I.R.W. #6

Last week, I shared with you that I read book one of the Beautiful Creatures series.
This past week, I read the second book - Beautiful Darkness.

I thoroughly enjoyed book one so much so that I couldn't help myself.
After I finished book one, I went and bought the remainder of the series.
I had a gift card burning a hole in pocket from my birthday, and I didn't want the ebook version of the books because I had an actual copy of the first book.

Kami and Margaret are wonderful storytellers.
I love that the books are set in the South Carolina because I love the South.
{plus, reading in accents is fun! and, this book has a british character.}

This book is all about the aftermath of Lena's sixteenth birthday, and I can't help but relate the song "Gone Gone Gone" by Phillip Phillips to this book.
So, if you read it, please listen to that song.
Let me know what you think about the pairing.

Now, I'm on to the novella Dream Dark.

What are you reading right now?

The Color Run!!!

The day before I turned 26, I ran my first 5k ~ The Color Run.
I did my races backwards by doing the Disney Princess half marathon first and then the Color Run.
But...doing the half marathon first, made doing the Color Run feel so easy!

Here are our before pictures.
{so fresh & so clean}

And, now after!
{covered in color}
 {my favorite from the race}

I loved doing this race.
While running, I saw someone from work. She and her husband were able to take before & after pictures of us. It was awesome.

Mr. GrapeJuice and I are already registered for another 5k and another half marathon!
I am hoping to also register for an electric/night 5k. Those look super fun!!
If you've done one, let me know what you thought about it. =]

WIRW #5

Woah...it's been awhile since I posted about the books I have been reading!
Life just got in the way.

Because of that, I've only read two books.
TWO since January!
I have a lot to catch up on so I can reach my goal of 50+ books this year.

Fairest is the sequel to UnEnchanted.
The writing was a little better than the first book, and it kept me very entertained.
I like the plots in these books so I am really hoping that there are more coming in the future.

This book had been on my to-read list since I first saw the the trailer for the movie.
I promised myself that I would read the book before I saw it, and I am so glad I did.
It is a beautiful story and wonderfully written.
I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series! {and see the movie}

Until next time,
tell me what you're reading!
