Tarantula in the Bathroom

One of the joys of working with the public on a daily basis is the occurences that make me giggle. So, far, there have been some doozies.

My favorite of the moment has to be an incident from Monday. Our manager got a report that there was a tarantula in the bathroom.

...a tarantula!

If you know anything about Tennessee, you know that tarantulas do not reside here...nor will they ever. So, when we heard the report about one being in the bathroom, we just had to check it out!

This is what we found...

...a wolf spider.

Last time I checked, that was not a tarantula. It did, however, provide endless entertainment for us the rest of the day though!

Oh, and don't worry! That's not my hand. I would never, ever, ever, ever willingly hold a spider!!!

    I would not have been happy regardless if it was a tarantula or not. i am not a spider fan. AND apparently TN has some big ones ha

      We certainly do. You should see the crickets that inhabit my crawl space! You know, everything's bigger in the south. =]
