3 Years Later & Look What We've Done in 2013

It's New Year's Eve, and that also means it's my wedding anniversary. Three years ago, I said "I do" to Mr. GrapeJuice on an unusually warm December evening and then partied into the wee hours of the morning.

You can see more photos from our happy day - here or by clicking "The Wedding" tab up at the top.

To celebrate our first year of marriage, we went to see New Year's Eve in theaters and then went to dinner at Melting Pot in Buffalo, NY before heading home from our Christmas holidays.

melting pot had some nice decorations. i really liked the balloons.

when they brought us our dessert, they decorated this plate too!

For our second anniversary, we drove down to Chattanooga, TN. It was a great night...until about 4 a.m., which you can read all about - here.

And now we're finishing up three years of marital bliss! I'll be sure to give you a recap of all that we will do, but it definitely involves a party and no possibility of fire alarms being yanked out of the wall!

Day Twenty-Four :: Merry Christmas Eve!!

I'm here to spread some Christmas cheer to everyone!! Right now, I'm secretly wishing and praying for a white Christmas. It's been wet and rainy up here recently so all my appendages are crossed in anticipation of a white Christmas. It would make my life delightful and magical.

I hope you and yours are having a wonderful Christmas with your family!
And, for some Christmas cheer, here's a picture of our Christmas card.
{I'm hoping everyone has received theirs by now!!}

Day Twenty-Three :: Classic Kids Movies I Love

I love watching kids movies all the time. There's not a kids movie that I don't like. Well...that's a lie. I'm pretty sure there are some kids movies that I wouldn't like, but that's neither here nor there.

Some movies from my past that I love are...

And, of course, any Disney movie ever made and released!!

There are so many more that I can't even begin to name them all. Plus, you'd be scrolling through all the pictures for hours and hours and wonder when it'd end! So, I'll leave you with these few and an understanding of the type of film I like.

What are your favorite movies that you turn to time and time again?
I'd love to hear them.

Day Twenty-Two :: A Good News Story

Around Christmastime, there are always good news stories to share, and this is one of my favorites! If you haven't seen this story, prepare to have your heart melted and be filled with lots of holiday cheer!

I think this company does a great job reminding people that Christmas is all about giving rather than receiving. I wish more companies would do things like this for their customers.

Day Twenty-One :: Christmas Plans

My Christmas plans are to see real snow and spend time with my husband's family up north. {That's why I said that I wanted to see real snow because in the south we don't get a lot of snow.} We only go up north every other year so Mr. GrapeJuice has lots of plans for us, including a trip to a brewery and visiting lots of friends and family.

On our way up, we saw lots of snow patches. This is what it looks like when your husband takes pictures of you in the car because he thinks you look like a little kid admiring all the snow.

I can't wait to share our trip with you when we get back from our Christmas vacation.

Day Nineteen :: The Dream Life

Yesterday, my husband bought a ticket for the Mega Millions because we like to dream about winning. I mean, what would you do with 314 million dollars in one payout????? That's a lot of moo-la. If I had that kind of cash lying around, here's what my life might look like...

 a house at the beach, preferably on the beach

a ford thunderbird to cruise the area
source :: motor trend

a fabulously big closet
source :: paloma 81

a life of leisure wouldn't be too bad either
source :: the girls wearing pearls

Those are my top wants, but I'd obviously find some kind of job to do too. I wouldn't be able to stand it sitting at home all day long; I'd eventually get bored of myself. Maybe I'd go into party planning. I'm fairly decent at that. But, that dream is for another day when one day we come into a large sum of money through a crazy coincidence that is not explainable. For now though, I'm perfectly content with the life that I am leading. =]

What's your dream life like??

Day Eighteen :: Jobs, Jobs, Jobs

Today's post is all about jobs...if you didn't already grasp that from the title. =] I've only had a handful of jobs in my short stint in the workforce. I've been a secretary/office assistant, a sales associate for a bookseller, a college ambassador, an intern, a teacher, and now a library employee. I can't say that I'm a "librarian" because that would be, technically, incorrect since I don't have a masters. So, you can call me a circulation assistant temp.

I am currently loving this job. It has great hours, and I have fabulous coworkers. I am constantly surrounded by books, which is awesome, and the patrons are consistently entertaining. I am now contemplating what life working for a library might be like. I wouldn't mind being submerged in a peaceful world where people escape their lives through books. I've had great success working for the library, and my coworkers along with some higher ups have given me much praise for my hard work. I can't wait to see how this is all going to pan out in the future. Fingers crossed!!

Day Sixteen :: DIY Pinterest

I haven't done a Pinterest DIY in awhile. The last one I did was back in September when my in-laws were in town. I was bored and really, really wanted to do something crafty. I wanted something simple and easy to do that didn't take much work. So, I found this...

And, now, I have this piece of artwork in my guest room. You can read all about how I did it - here.

I've been putting my creativity into my job right now. I get to pick books and other items to put on display, and I get to decorate for the holidays too. It's been glorious!!
